Arthur & Janet Libby Jr. purchased the Elliot farm in Corinth in 1982. Arthur had been working as a Civil Engineer after graduating from the University of Maine for several years but had always wanted to farm.
The Libby family consists of Arthur, Janet, Jennifer, Alana, Justin & Alyssa. With much help through the years from other family members, the farm has grown from 32 milking cows in 1982 to a milking herd of 190 today. Currently owned and operated by Arthur & Janet and Justin Libby; Justin and his wife Elizabeth, and their two sons William and Brody are planning to continue the family farming tradition. The Libby's have been participating in horse pulling events at many state fairs for 12 years, including the Piscataquis Valley Fair. |
