Jackie Brammer 564-0029, Gary Sudsbury 564-2931, Clayton Burton 997-9671 The first Calaveras County, California Frog Jumping Contest, made world famous by renowned author Mark Twain, was held on May 19, 1928. It is still held every year and is the oldest event of its kind in the United States. Our Frog Jump will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the ball field. Registration starts at 12 noon.
